For Voters

If you will be 18 years or above by the 7 of September 2013, and wish to vote in the presidential elections, ensure that you are listed in the voters registry and ensure that the listed information is correct. 

To check if you are eligible to vote and if your name is on the list, 

• You can download or check the  list from Elections Commission website www.elections.gov.mv . 
• You can check if your name is there on the list from different help-desks which are placed in differenct areas of Male' 
• Also you can send a text to 1414 with the msg "VIS IDNumber". 

If there is a problem with the registration, immediately contact the elections commission and update the details.

Maldives's Presidents Election will be on the 7th of September 2013. This will be the  2nd multiparty Presidential Election since the birth of Democracy in the country.
